Team BRAVO Gorillas, inspired by Epsom-based Louise Camby, helped raise over £1,000 for St. Catherine’s Hospice at their Dragon Boat Festival held at Tilgate Park in Crawley, Surrey on Sunday September 10 2017.
BRAVO (http://www.bravobizevents.co.uk/) is a social enterprise connecting Surrey and Sussex through business networking events and their annual community choir concert, Choiroke.
Louise Camby, of BRAVO said, “Sadly, BRAVO’s videographer partner Rob Sedgwick of Silverback Guerrilla Productions passed away last year after his fight with cancer. St Catherine’s Hospice looked after him during his final weeks and we felt it was very appropriate to enter the Dragon Boat Festival and support such an amazing cause.
“We were the BRAVO Gorillas and we are very proud to have exceeded our fund-raising target, raising more than £1,400. We are also thrilled to have won the fancy dress competition on the day. Great team work and lots of fun!”
Team BRAVO’s rowers included various local business people from across Surrey and Sussex including; Epsom-based, Louise Camby from Voice Productions and Forever Living (also part of the BRAVO team), Copthorne-based, Rebecca Holloway from Alkira Virtual PA Services (also part of the BRAVO team), Mark Ladell (part of the BRAVO team), Tina Fotherby, Mary-Jane Rose and Adam Betteridge from Famous Publicity (http://www.famouspublicity.com/), Ges Ray from Speaking in Public, Marcus Dorling, Commercial Accounts Director – Updata Infrastructure, Susie Smith from Greenstone, Kevin Johnson from Index Property Information, Stuart Kerslake from Being in Business, Ben Rose and Ewan Millias from The Key 2 Growth, Julia Searle from Winetwine and EmpowerU, Russell Brett from Matthew Douglas Financial Planners, Mike Gregory and Georgina Dale from Avocado Audio Visual Hire, Tim Hatari from Pro Actions and Debbie Byland from Alkira Virtual PA services.
