BRAVO is a Social Enterprise formed as a Community Interest Company (CIC).
BRAVO’s objective is to connect business with the community across Surrey and Sussex; it is achieving this by producing business and community events and injecting the profits back into the community by supporting local cultural community projects.
BRAVO has organised and hosted many highly successful networking events across Surrey and Sussex using a variety of venues including Herons Bonsai, Vines’ BMW showrooms and the Time Well Spent pubs and restaurants.
We produce a mix of different types of networking events. Our evening events are unique as they are organised to give delegates the maximum return for the time they have invested in attending. Each event is structured and gives those attending a variety of networking sessions – Spotlight, Open and Exclusive 1-2-1 – delegates are given detailed delegate lists, refreshments are supplied and there is often a guest speaker. Events have been well supported and have received phenomenal feedback from both delegates and sponsors alike.
Our daytime events are unstructured open networking events with bacon rolls and coffee taking place for a couple of hours in the morning giving businesses a relaxed environment to meet new people and build business relationships.
BRAVO also produces Choiroke, an annual community-choir concert that brings together choirs from across Surrey and Sussex. Choiroke is a one-night-only concert offering choirs the opportunity to showcase their talents and sing at major regional venues to much larger audiences. And talking of audiences, it’s called Choiroke as the audience is expected and encouraged to participate. Starting in 2015 we introduced a school’s Choiroke in the afternoon of the main event giving many school choirs the chance to perform on a big stage. In 2016 we added the dimension of a theme which works well. In that year it was a patriotic theme with Choiroke taking place on St George’s Day. In 2017 the theme was film music which was great fun.
Surplus funds from BRAVO’s events are injected back into the community to support local cultural projects and in 2016 we were able to help fund the reinstatement of the East Surrey Hospital workplace choir which is now called the SASH NHS Community Choir and is open to the local community to be part of as well.
Team BRAVO is a group of business people freely offering the skills and experience they’ve gained in their respective fields to work together to meet BRAVO’s objectives and fulfil its mission and vision.
